Unfounded Fears

I’ve noticed that there are certain very smart people who live their lives based on totally unfounded fears.  These people want to make sure that everyone is as fearful as they are and they are very good at coming up with real sounding threats and scaring the daylights out of you.  I choose to ignore them.  Just like ghosts, if I don’t believe in them they can’t hurt me.

Mark Twain once said, “I’ve suffered a great many catastrophes in my life.   Most of them never happened.”

Paul Harvey said, “I’ve never seen a monument to a pessimist.”

Michel De Saint-Pierre said, “An optimist may see a light where there is none, but why must a pessimist always run to blow it out?”

Most of the time I think people’s lives are ruined more by the fear of a particular event than they would be if the event actually occurred.

Let’s dwell on happy positive thoughts and shape the world with optimism.  If something bad happens we are going to be screwed but let’s not think so much about it that our whole live are wasted in worry.

Take Chances and enjoy life . . . no matter what happens

Love you brother,

Will
